A Guide to Replacing Your Old SEO Company

SEO is a very important part of any marketing strategy. When marketing a business, we must advertise online in order to attract a larger portion of our target market. However, SEO is best performed by an outside company who specialises in the service, rather than a business owner trying to get it right themselves. This nearly always goes wrong. You must remember, however, that not all SEO companies are created equal. In fact, some of them cheat in order to make you look good, which only ever ends badly. If your current SEO company isn’t getting you the results you want, and hasn’t come through on any promises they made you, it’s ok to replace them. In fact, you should replace them ASAP and stop throwing your money into a black hole. This guide will help you replace them effectively:

Check Your Contract With Your Old Company

You may have a contract with your old company, and you may be obligated to stick to the terms of this if you signed it and agreed to it. Let’s hope you read the small print. Most SEO companies say you can stop working with them whenever you like, but some might make it hard for you to opt out. They might offer you discounted work, more services, or something else to make you stay with them. Don’t fall for it – if their services haven’t worked and you’ve been with them for months, they won’t work now. Tell them you’d like to cancel and be firm.

Read Reviews and Testimonials Online

Now you need to find a company that meets your needs better than the old company. The only way to do this is read reviews and testimonials online to make sure the company gets the results you want. There should be real reviews from real people available for you to read.

Have a Consultation

When you have a shortlist of companies you think would suit you, call them and have a consultation. If you’re potentially going to be a big client of theirs, they may like to have a meeting in person with you say Denver SEO. In this meeting, you can explain exactly what you want, and what your old company was lacking. They should have references and work to show you that they have done recently. Find out about the techniques they use, and don’t accept any BS answers. They should be able to go into a bit of detail with you to help you understand. Ask appropriate questions. Working with good communicators is the key, not a company that makes the process sound all mysterious.

Go With Your Gut

You should get a gut feeling on which company is the right one. Go with that. Unless your gut is usually wrong, in which case, do the opposite. Sorry, I can’t be of much help on this one. It’s up to you to weigh up the pros and cons and work with who suits you best!

You should soon have an SEO company who you work well with!
